Winter Training Academy

The Winter Training Academy is a new initiative to allow athletes a supplementary competitive environment to play in during their school seasons. For 2018/2019, we will be offering 3 divisions: Elite, 17U, & 15U. Our Elite program is invitation only and athletes are able to work up into that program after being in our open program if they are not initially invited; our goal is to create groups to maximize the results of our training and hours in the gym. As a part of our winter training academy each athlete will get 10 on court sessions (2 hours) and 10 workouts (1.5 hours) totalling 35 hours of total programming with the GOOD Hoops Staff.

1 on court training session/week

Each athlete will be assigned a training group with a specific date/time repeating from November - February. Once a week the group will assemble to train with Coaches Sunny Sooch, Jenelle Monty, Sofia Lucadello and Shy Walters. On court training sessions will fall on Saturdays.

1 Workout/week

Athletes will be working out with their respective age groups once a week. The goal of these workouts will be to provide the foundational fundamentals of how to workout, body biomechanics, and movement prep. All workouts will be led by Coach Ryan Bhalla out of one of two locations on the Southside of Edmonton, on Thursday nights.

Please note: There are limited spots available in the winter training academy. If you are late to register, we may not be able to accommodate you in the program but we will still have training opportunities for all interested athletes in some capacity. Register ASAP to ensure your spot for the winter training academy.
